Programs, Workshops, and Patterns

As I delve deeper into my quilty self, I find that it is somewhat of a calling to share what I have learned with others. So, I started offering Programs and Workshops to Guilds and Quiltshops in 2018. Please email me at djps1957@gmail.com for pricing and more information.

Programs
  • Conversation with a UFO Queen
I have learned enough about myself to know that I love to start new projects. The trouble is that I don't finish them as quickly as I start them. So, I have tons of UFOs (UnFinished Objects). Join me as I visit some of my UFOs, try to stay focused on WIP (Works in Progress), and generally keep things moving forward when you have over a hundred UFOs.

  • Confessions of a Sassy Stripper - How Many Things Can I Make From a Jelly Roll Strip
As the club facilitator and head Stripper of Mea Bernina and Babylock's Sassy Strippers, I have had the fun challenge of coming up with monthly projects that use Jelly Roll Strips. One can only make so many jelly roll race quilts - then what? Join me in my journey of discovery of all the things you can make from Jelly Roll Strips.

  • Hello, I'm Denise, and I'm a BOM Addict
It seems so Do-able when they tease you with those Block of the Month projects. Who can't complete a block in a month? It's so easy - that is until you're sucked in to 6 BOMs at a time!

  • How I Became Quiltworx Crazy - (in other words, a Judy Niemeyer Junkie)
I was hooked as soon as I started my first Quiltworx quilt - Vintage Rose. Now I can't stop. Learn about what makes Quiltworx quilts so different, do-able and dare I say it - addictive.

A modern sampler quilt with Kansas-named blocks: Kansas Star, Kansas Troubles, Rocky Road to Kansas, Kansas Beauty, Kansas Sunflower, Kansas Dugout, Kansas Twister, Hearth and Home's Kansas, Kansas Dust Storm, with some Prairie Points and Flying Geese thrown in. You'll use traditional piecing, foundation piecing, English paper piecing and applique. Available from my Etsy Shop - TheCuriousKSQuilter as a paper pattern or a download.
Shop owners - This would make a great BOM!
Also this is the Kansas Quilt from the 50 Quilts From 50 States Series.

Add some interesting texture to a Missouri Star block table runner by using selvages. Available from my Etsy Shop - TheCuriousKSQuilter as a paper pattern or a download. This is Missouri's 50/50 quilt.

  1. Enjoyed your program in Emporia on Tues. night. I bought your Happy Spider Webs pattern. I have a question: What size is the quilt in the picture? That info may be there, but I don't find it. You can email me: wileyma@hotmail.com Thanks so much
